The AMM Distro API lets a label or catalog owner deliver music from its own system instead of entering it in AMM Distro by hand. You send each release’s metadata, artwork and audio. AMM Distro checks it, reviews it and delivers it to stores, and you can follow its status throughout. Releases sent through the API are drafts in your AMM Distro account. They go through the same review as releases created in AMM Distro, and you can see and edit them there too.

Getting access

How API access is turned on and how keys are created.

Quickstart

Send and submit a first release with curl.

Catalog transfers

Move releases that are already in stores from another distributor.

Release status

Follow a release from draft to live.

What you can do

  • Deliver new releases: metadata, artists, tracks, credits, artwork and audio, in one request.
  • Transfer back catalog: keep each release’s UPC and ISRCs so stores keep its history.
  • Check readiness before submitting, with every problem listed against the field it applies to.
  • Follow status from draft through review and delivery to live, with store links as they appear.
  • Look up UPCs and ISRCs in your catalog with the ingestion check.

How a release moves through AMM Distro

1

Send

PUT /delivery/releases/{releaseId} with the release and links to its files. Use your own ID for the release.
2

Files are checked

Artwork and audio are downloaded and checked in the background, usually within a minute.
3

Validate

POST /delivery/releases/{releaseId}/validate lists anything that would block submission.
4

Submit

POST /delivery/releases/{releaseId}/submit sends the release to review.
5

Delivered

Once approved, the release is delivered to stores. Its status moves to delivering, then delivered or live.
