# Statuses

> Every status a release, file or transfer can have.

## Release

| Status | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `draft` | Sent, not submitted yet. You can update it. |
| `in_review` | Submitted and being reviewed. |
| `changes_requested` | Review found something to fix. Update it and submit again. |
| `delivering` | Approved and on its way to stores. |
| `delivered` | Delivered to stores, before its release date. |
| `live` | Live in at least one store. |
| `rejected` | Won't be distributed. |
| `taken_down` | Removed from stores. |

New statuses may be added. Treat one you don't recognise as `in_review`.

## Release kind

| `kind` | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `new` | A release coming out for the first time. |
| `transfer` | A release moving from another distributor. |

## File

| Status | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `awaiting_upload` | Waiting for you to upload it. |
| `pending` | Being downloaded or checked. |
| `ready` | In use on the release. |
| `failed` | Can't be used; `error` says why. |

## Transfer

| Status | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `open` | Releases can still be added and changed. |
| `submitted` | Submitted for review. Closed to new releases. |
