# Tracks

> Order, identifiers, explicit content and lyrics for each track.

`tracks` is the release's full track list, 1 to 100 tracks.

**externalId** `string`

Your ID for the track. Strongly recommended: later updates then change the same track even if it moves position. See [Updating a release](/guides/updating-a-release.md).

**discNumber** `integer` (default: 1)

1 to 20.

**trackNumber** `integer`

1 to 999. Defaults to the track's position in the list. Each disc and track number pair can only be used once.

**title** `string` *required*

The track title, without the version.

**version** `string`

For example `Sped Up`, `Radio Edit` or `Acoustic`.

**isrc** `string`

The recording's ISRC. Leave it out for a new recording and one is assigned when the release is approved. Required for catalog transfers. See [Identifiers](/reference/identifiers.md).

**iswc** `string`

The composition's ISWC, such as `T1234567890`.

**explicit** `boolean | string` (default: false)

`true` for explicit, `false` for not explicit, `"clean"` for an edited version of an explicit track.

**language** `string`

The language of the lyrics. Defaults to the release's language. Use `zxx` for an instrumental.

**lyrics** `string`

Up to 20,000 characters.

**compositionType** `string` (default: original)

`original`, `cover` or `public_domain`.

**aiUsage** `string` (default: none)

How much of the recording was generated with AI: `none`, `some`, `material` or `all`.

**artists** `array`

The track's artists, if they differ from the release's. See [Artists](/guides/artists.md).

**audio** `object`

The master. See [Files](/guides/files.md).

**credits** `array`

Songwriters, performers and production. See [Credits](/guides/credits.md).

> A track you leave out of a later `PUT` is removed from the release.
