# Release status

> Follow a release from draft to live.

Every release has a `status`. Read one release with `GET /delivery/releases/{releaseId}`, or many with `GET /delivery/releases`.

```mermaid theme={"dark"}
flowchart LR
  draft --> in_review
  in_review --> changes_requested --> in_review
  in_review --> delivering --> delivered --> live
  in_review --> rejected
  live --> taken_down
```

| Status | Meaning | Can update? |
| - | - | - |
| `draft` | Sent, not submitted yet. | Yes |
| `in_review` | Submitted and being reviewed. | No |
| `changes_requested` | Review found something to fix. Update and submit again. | Yes |
| `delivering` | Approved and on its way to stores. | No |
| `delivered` | Delivered to stores, before its release date. | No |
| `live` | Live in stores. | No |
| `rejected` | Won't be distributed. | No |
| `taken_down` | Removed from stores. | No |

`delivered` and `live` are set as soon as the first store has the release. Other stores can take longer, so not every store link appears at once.

## Identifiers

`upc` and each track's `isrc` are `null` until assigned. If you didn't send them, they're assigned when the release is approved, and appear once it moves to `delivering`.

## Listing releases

```bash theme={"dark"}
curl -s "$BASE/delivery/releases?status=live&limit=50" -H "Authorization: Bearer $AMMD_API_KEY"
```

| Query | Notes |
| - | - |
| `status` | One of the statuses above. |
| `accountId` | Limit to one account. |
| `limit` | 1 to 100, default 50. |
| `cursor` | `nextCursor` from the previous page. `null` means the last page. |

Only releases sent through the API are listed. Releases created in AMM Distro can be looked up by UPC or ISRC with the [ingestion check](/guides/ingestion-check.md).

## Checking for changes

There are no notifications yet; check for changes by polling. Check releases in review or delivery a few times a day; once a release is `live`, there's no need to check it often. Stay within your [rate limit](/reference/rate-limits.md).
