# Accounts

> Which accounts a key can deliver to, and how to choose one.

A key covers one or more accounts: your account, its artist accounts, or specific artist accounts you chose when creating the key.

```bash theme={"dark"}
curl -s "$BASE/delivery/accounts" -H "Authorization: Bearer $AMMD_API_KEY"
```

```json theme={"dark"}
{
  "accounts": [
    { "id": "AB12CD34", "displayName": "Nova Records" },
    { "id": "EF56GH78", "displayName": "Nova" }
  ]
}
```

## Choosing the account

* **One account:** you never need to name it.
* **Several accounts:** name the one you mean.
  * On `PUT` requests, put it in the body as `"accountId": "EF56GH78"`.
  * On every other request, pass it in the query string as `?accountId=EF56GH78`.

If you leave it out, the request fails with `400 account_required`. An account the key doesn't cover returns `404 account_not_found`.

Release IDs are per account: `NOVA-004` in one account and `NOVA-004` in another are different releases.
